A real understanding of place, of materiality and of community

The Queensbridge Building represents a return to real living. Cast in bronze and stone, the tower’s elegance and craftsmanship harks back to a nostalgic era of skyscraper architecture.

Material character of place

The Queensbridge Building holds the street with a layered rhythmic masonry wall that is punctuated with the strong horizontal lines of its entablature. Architrave, landscape frieze and cornice. This is a contemporary architecture made from traditional components; recalling Flatiron, Nomad and the great diagonal push of Broadway.

Modern nostalgia

The design premise for Queensbridge was real spaces for real people. Spaces that you can individualise, and create your own authentic feeling of home. Queensbridge has a substantialness in its offerings that speak to an era when developments prioritised good taste and quality of life above all else. Queensbridge marks a much needed return to this sort of living.
